Our response to Covid19
In line with government guidelines our activities at both sites are constantly being reviewed.
We continue to work hard to maintain Covid19 safety at both sites. All staff are fully vaccinated and we follow government and National Youth Association guidelines at all times.
Throughout the pandemic we were at times temporarily closed for face to face delivery, however thanks to The National Lottery Covid19 Response Fund, the government's Bounce Back Loan Scheme we were able to continue our of support the communities in Byker and Pottery Bank, Walker with a variety of services.
Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department of Media a Sport we have been able to deliver a number of projects throughout lockdown.
In response to children, young people and their families we have tailored our support throughout the pandemic and continue to do all we can to support our users through this difficult time.
All of our programmes are fully risk assessed and adhere to strict government Health and Safety guidelines. We operate in a fully, COVID-SAFE environment (Covid Safety Policy available in "Information" section of this website)
Providing 50 families with tablets and data sim cards, our digital creative project involves around 120 children in our weekly craft sessions. Bags of resources support the crafts and are delivered fortnightly.
